176- DO NOT BE SADDENED BECAUSE OF THOSE WHO HASTEN TO DISBELIEVE, THEY DO NOT HARM ALLAH IN ANY WAY, ALLAH WILLS THAT THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE ANY SHARE IN THE HEREAFTER, AND THEY WILL HAVE SEVERE PUNISHMENT.
177- THOSE WHO GAINED DISBELIEF AT THE COST OF BELIEF WILL NOT HARM ALLAH IN ANY WAY, AND THEY WILL HAVE PAINFUL PUNISHMENT.
178- LET THOSE WHO DISBELIEVE NOT THINK THAT WE GIVE THEM TIME BECAUSE IT IS GOOD FOR THEM, BUT WE GIVE THEM TIME TO INCREASE THEIR SINNING, AND THEY WILL SUFFER HUMILIATING PUNISHMENT.
179- ALLAH WOULD NOT HAVE LEFT THE BELIEVERS AS THEY WERE WITHOUT DISTINGUISHING THE EVIL FROM THE GOOD, AND ALLAH WOULD NOT HAVE LET YOU KNOW WHAT IS HIDDEN, BUT ALLAH CHOOSES WHOM HE WILLS FOR MESSENGERS. THEREFORE, BELIEVE IN ALLAH AND HIS MESSENGERS, AND SHOULD YOU BELIEVE AND BE PIOUS, YOU WILL HAVE GREAT REWARD.
Allah’s messenger prayer and peace upon him was saddened that some of the event leading to and of the battle of Ohud showed some not to be true believers. In fact most of the 300 men, who returned half way while marching to Ohud, regretted what they did very much and wanted to go out with the Muslim army when the army went out to intercept the disbelievers if they turn back to Medina. Allah the Highest however did not allow them.
Allah the Highest reminds us of an important fact, which is that we can not harm Allah the Highest or help Him in any way. Our Jihad in the cause of Allah is not for Allah the Highest, but for ourselves, for Allah the Highest does not need our support, but we need His. Allah the Highest said: “WHOEVER GOES ON JIHAD, HE DOES THE JIHAD FOR HIMSELF BECAUSE ALLAH IS NOT IN NEED FOR ANY BEING”. (S: 29 A: 6)
Allah’s messenger prayer and peace upon him said that Allah the Highest said: “O my slaves, you are not able to harm me, nor are you able to benefit me. O My slaves, if the first and last of you, the human and the jinn, are as righteous as the most righteous of you, this will not increase my kingdom in the least. O My slaves, if the first and the last of you, the human and the jinn, are as sinful as the most sinful of you, this will not decrease my kingdom in the least. O My slaves, if the first and last of you, the human and the jinn got together, and every one asked my for what they want, and I gave every one what they asked for, this will not decrease my kingdom by more than what needle takes of the sea when it passes through it”. (T: Qiamah; 48)
“ALLAH WILLS THAT THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE ANY SHARE IN THE HEREAFTER, AND THEY WILL HAVE SEVERE PUNISHMENT”
Allah the Highest knows what is in our hearts and knew at the time what was in every one’s heart. Allah the Highest planned to reveal what is in their hearts by putting them to that test, and then they will not have any thing to support them on the Day of Judgment. Allah’s messenger prayer and peace and upon him said: “A man will do the deeds of the people of Paradise, as is seen by people, while he is of the people of the Hell-Fire, and a man will do the deeds of the people of the Hell-Fire, as is seen by people, while he is of the people of Paradise”. (M:Qadar; 12 Eman; 179)
“ALLAH WOULD NOT HAVE LEFT THE BELIEVERS AS THEY WERE WITHOUT DISTINGUISHING THE EVIL FROM THE GOOD”.
Allah the Highest wishes to show the good from the bad and the good from the evil, and for this to be known to every one, and not to leave them indistinguishable from each other. The Muslims had to be put to the test and trial and a severe one too. The Muslims were not to know that, until they were subjected to the test.
Allah the Highest also speaks about the hypocrites, telling us:
<!--[if !supportLists]-->- They exchanged belief for disbelieve, and in this transaction they lost.<!--[endif]-->
<!--[if !supportLists]-->- If Allah the Highest chooses not to punish them in this life or immediately, this is not for their good. They increase the sins they earn in this life, which makes their position much worse in the Hereafter. Letting one continue sinning happens when Allah the Highest is angry with them. “ALLAH MOCKS THEM, AND GIVES THEM LEEWAY IN THEIR WICKEDNESS TO KEEP WANDERING BLINDLY IN THEIR INSOLENCE” (S:2 A:15)<!--[endif]-->
Allah the Highest promised the hypocrites severe, painful and humiliating punishment in three successive Ayahs:
AND THEY WILL HAVE SEVERE PUNISHMENT.
AND THEY WILL HAVE PAINFUL PUNISHMENT.
AND THEY WILL SUFFER HUMILIATING PUNISHMENT.
Allah the Highest answers those who doubt the prophecy of Mohamed prayer and peace upon him for various reasons. Allah the Highest only has the privilege of choosing whom He desires for prophet or messenger. No one else is given a hand in the choice. Allah the Highest chooses the man and prepares him for the mission.
It is Allah’s Policy on Earth to show the good for what it is and the evil for what it is. The believers have to be subjected to trials and tests to sort out the good from the bad. There will be witnesses from the believers, and each group will have the evidence for or against them in their deeds. There is a promise of a great reward for the pious believers: “AND SHOULD YOU BELIEVE AND BE PIOUS, YOU WILL HAVE GREAT REWARD”
